Glucose

Also known as D-Glucose, dextrose or corn sugar, glucose is a natural simple sugar. It is a common ingredient and popular sweetener in food and beverage production, offering flavouring, texture and stability.

Overview

Glucose has a moderate clean, sweet taste; it is less sweet than sucrose (table sugar) and fructose. In food manufacturing, it can improve flavour, texture and stability and can act as a binding agent and preservative. It is often used together with other sweeteners.

Glucose is commonly applied in baked goods, cereals, snacks, confectionery and sweetened beverages. In sport nutrition products, it is valued for its energy-inducing qualities. Glucose can also be used to balance flavours in savoury products like soups and sauces. In desserts, it can reduce ice crystal formation.

Our glucose is available as a liquid in 25L drums and 1000L containers.
